Voice control
Use your Roku voice remote to search your libraries and to control what’s playing without reaching for the buttons.
What you need
Section titled “What you need”A Roku voice remote. Roku decides which words it understands; JellyRock acts on the commands Roku passes on.
Search by voice
Section titled “Search by voice”- On the Search screen, speak instead of typing. JellyRock waits until you finish speaking, then searches for the whole phrase.
- In a library, speak while the library is open to show only the items whose names match. In the Live TV guide, the same narrows the channel list.
Control playback by voice
Section titled “Control playback by voice”While a video plays, you can ask your Roku to:
- play, pause or stop;
- fast-forward or rewind, or skip forward or back a number of seconds or minutes;
- start over from the beginning;
- replay the last few seconds; how far is set by Instant Replay Duration;
- skip: skips the intro, recap or other marked part playing now (see Media segments), or goes to the next item when nothing is marked;
- go to the next item;
- say what’s playing;
- like it, which marks it as a favorite, or dislike it, which takes it off your favorites.
While music plays, the same commands work, and you can also shuffle or repeat.
If a command doesn’t apply, for example pausing something already paused, Roku tells you so.
Settings
Section titled “Settings”- Instant Replay Duration: how many seconds replay goes back. The default is 10.
